How to choose a wedding photographer
Photography is often the first vendor couples book. Use this checklist while browsing photographer listings on Vendor Aisle. We are a directory only and do not recommend or book photographers for you.
Review the portfolio carefully
Look for full galleries from recent weddings, not only highlight reels. Check lighting in outdoor and indoor settings that match your venue style. Ask whether the images were edited by the photographer or a third-party editor.
Ask about coverage and delivery
- How many hours of coverage are included?
- Is a second shooter available for the ceremony and reception?
- When will you receive a preview gallery and final files?
- Do you keep rights to print and share the photos?
Confirm the contract
Get a written agreement covering the date, deposit, cancellation terms, and what happens if the photographer becomes unavailable. Verify insurance if your venue requires it.
